According to the Pew Internet American Life
Project, 80 of all Internet users surveyed have
searched on-line for health information which
translates to 113 million American adults (18)
who use the Internet to find health information.

    fact-based information with magazine-style
    wellness material
  • All Health Library content is evidence-based,
    cited, sourced and systematically-reviewed with
    rich cross-referencing from section to section

Health Library - Procedures
  • 530 A-Z Procedure Fact Sheets (indexed by medical
    categories)
  • Includes more than 98 of all hospital procedures
    and tests performed in North America
  • 26 animations (with sound/subtitles) of the most
    widely performed medical procedures. Each
    animated clip is approx 2½ minutes long and
    available in Windows and QuickTime formats
  • All animations are designed to be viewed by
    patients (not designed for clinicians) and are
    Section 508 compliant for the hearing and sight
    impaired.

Health Library - Experts Reviewers
All topics in Health Library include a link to
the Health Expert who last reviewed the topic
that includes detailed information on their
credentials. On an annual basis, Health Experts
must provide EBSCO with an updated copy of their
professional credentials or licensure. EBSCO
agrees that it will not edit the experts' advice
in a manner that causally changes its original
meaning will not require an expert to promote a
product, device, or service and will not ask
experts to provide advice for information that is
outside their area of professional expertise.
