• Involved Nursery and Primary 1 classes

Project Aims

• To develop and extend contexts for learning in
  Nursery and Primary 1 through a shared role-play
  area
• To stimulate, imaginative talk, writing
  recording skills.
• To raise the profile and value of structured
  purposeful play
• To develop interactions between two stages

• Child centred and interactive approach to
  developing and extending play
• Collaborative and focused approach to literacy,
  especially imaginative talk, writing and
  recording skills

SHARING - LISTENING

• Shared storytelling between Nursery and P1
  classes
• Story introduces new theme
• Children move between class areas for stories

• Posters for role-play area

• Folder of letters and childrens responses kept
  in role-play area for children to look at

• Nursery P1 pupils sharing the story
• Use of DigiBlue camera and laptop
• Enabled children to watch the recording of
  themselves
