  • Do not receive CJI credits.
  • Must do all General Education- only 24 credits of
    Criminal Justice Electives-maximum.

You will need a Bachelors Degree for many
positions such as the FBI, Probation/Parole
Officer, and other federal jobs.

AAS-64 Credits
  • Pros
  • Cons
  • Not as many General Education Credits.
  • More CJI Credits
  • It is a faster way to get a 2 year degree for
    promotion .
  • Does not transfer
  • There are no transfer options.

AS to BS in Criminal Justice-64 Credits
  • Pros
  • Cons
  • It is not as easy to transfer
  • There are only two transfer options
  • Do not have all general education credits done.
  • Some CJI credits
  • Does not require as many General Education
    Credits
  • Does transfer-two options(BS in Criminal Justice
    or BAS)
  • Recognized degree in field.
