  • HPUX What to do?
  • Versions before 11 do not properly support
    pthreads
  • Perhaps only support starting with version 11
  • Has not been tested.
  • Looks promising.
  • Everything not mentioned on previous slide.
  • Main Porting Problem is multithreading
  • Good support for pthreads OR
  • Threads support for implementing osiThread and
    osiSem
  • Multithreading now required
  • For iocCore will always be manditory

    iocs
  • Supporting many platforms will be a challenge
  • Each platform has many versions
  • Many versions of G
  • C is particular challenge
  • Most implementations still dont support standard
  • Standard C library implementations still
    immature.
