Install Profibus Master Card
Check the control settings of Devices to see if
the Profibus Master card is running.

• Install the Profibus Master card in your system
  and make sure the driver of the Profibus card is
  running.

Insert aX Profibus Master Class
The green LED and the green bar indicate that the
aX Profibus Master card is active.

• Open the axsystem.tree from the automationX
  Project window and insert your aX Profibus class
  from the automationX System Classes library.
• Give the inserted instance the correct instance
  name.

aX Profibus Slave Settings
The watchdog function permits the slave to
monitor the bus communication time to be sure
that the aX Profibus master is still active.

• Insert your aX Profibus Slave class into your
  automationX project.
• Choose your aX Profibus Master connection.
• Choose your aX Profibus Slave address.
• Switch the watchdog and define the time.
• Set the aX Profibus Slave specific parameters.

Add Modules to aX Profibus Slave
The variable ViewConnection of the Slave
instance shows all the connected I/O modules.

• Insert your aX Profibus module classes into your
  aX Profibus Slave instance.
• Connect the aX Profibus Slave to the first aX
  Profibus module.
• Connect each aX Profibus module to the next one.
• Set parameters of each aX Profibus module.

In the variable Connection, fill in the instance
name of the next module.
