Targets 4 year olds that meet one or more of the
following criteria

• Children eligible for free or reduced meals
• Children with limited English proficiency
• Children of active duty military
• Children of single parents
• Children of teen parents
• Children of parents lacking GED/H.S.Diploma
• Children with identified developmental delay
• SRS referrals / Foster Care

Program Components

• Intensive early education programs with highly
  trained and experienced early education staff
• Collaborative professional development
  opportunities focusing on early literacy and
  overall health and development
• Early literacy and program partnerships with
  families
• Family Services Worker support for children and
  families
• consultation with staff related to behavioral
  and social-emotional issues and needs.

• Acquisition of school readiness skills through
  research-based early childhood programs
• Comprehensive system of assessment and
  developmental monitoring activities
• Universal system of professional development to
  support the learning needs of all children.
• Families engage in behaviors that will increase
  their childs readiness for school.
• Families access essential services and resources.

  pre-literacy activities to ensure success in
  reading by grade three
• USD 475 and Ft Riley in working collaboration
  based upon common interest in serving children
  and families
• Elevates the concern that both USD 475 and Ft
  Riley have for the same children.
• Provides opportunities to build parent
  relationships before K-12 school experience
  begins
