Academy Program Information

• Who is the GYS Academy for?
• The Academy Program is designed specifically for
  U9 and U10 players who desire more than the
  standard recreation soccer experience
• Players who have the desire and commitment to
  play in a fun and dynamic learning environment

GYS Academy Format

• Placement Evaluations
• Players will be placed in training groups based
  upon ability
• Players will be paired with children of similar
  level and ability
• Academy roster will be posted on GYS website
  after completion of Placement Evaluations

• Training
• Players will be placed in training groups based
  upon developmental level
• Academy players will train 2 days per week
• With opportunities for voluntary extra training
  during the season
• Pool training
• Academy players will train at same place and same
  time
• All U10 girls will train same day, time and
  location

• Competition
• 8-10 games per season
• Academy tournaments as well
• 2-3 per season
• Progressive competitive schedule
• Academy teams will play the highest level of
  competition suited to their abilities
• Ability to control schedule so that all Academy
  games are competitive
