Operating Leases
  • Must identify all new operating leases for GAAP
  • Process
  • BFM pulls all commitment postings for accounts
    6351100 through 6351599
  • SAP funds are analyzed to make assumptions as to
    the effective date of document
  • BFM sends file to Comptroller with operating
    leases assumed to be new during the fiscal year
  • BFM will run PO monitoring report Y_DC1_320000716
    to pull in validity dates on the PO

  • Agencies and Comptroller Offices should check for
    dates on all operating lease POs
  • If an earmarked funds document is used to
    recognize an operating lease the following should
    be included at the beginning of the header text
  • New operating lease in FY 2004 NOL04
  • New operating lease in FY 2005 NOL05
  • BFM plans to monitor new operating leases on a
    quarterly basis beginning in FY 2005
