EDR/CDR List
  • VIIRS Geolocation is a Sensor Data Record (SDR)
  • Geolocation indirectly contributes to many VIIRS
    EDRs and CDRs
  • Accuracte geolocation is needed
  • to meet EDR mapping uncertainty specifications
  • to support land cover change detection
  • for accurate retrieval of biophysical parameters
    over heterogeneous land surfaces (VI, etc.)
  • to maintain mapping accuracy in multi-day CDRs
