I dont understand this
We are interfering with the patients right to
self-determination. Lifestyle is a private matter

Model Projects for PHP

• The projects will be conducted in three different
  settings
• A paediatric life style centre
• A school for patients with chronic life style
  diseases
• A surgical unit

Outcome of the method

• People whom it concerned got the opportunity to
  discuss and express their scepticism
• Objections were heard which led to modifications
  in the original implementation plan

Drawback of the method

• Fear for reactions to change led to modifications
  in the implementation plan
• Strategies that might minimize normal reactions
  to changes were only used to a small extent

Conclusion

• Based on experience we hope that this stepwise
  implementation of the PHP-approach will generate
  ambassadors supporting gradual dissemination of
  the approach throughout the hospital
• Retrospectively we have realized that
  unconventional initiatives are typically met with
  strong resistance, that we have to learn to
  handle in the future
