We are interfering with the patients right to

9Model Projects for PHP
- The projects will be conducted in three different
settings - A paediatric life style centre
- A school for patients with chronic life style
diseases - A surgical unit
10Outcome of the method
- People whom it concerned got the opportunity to
discuss and express their scepticism - Objections were heard which led to modifications
in the original implementation plan
11Drawback of the method
- Fear for reactions to change led to modifications
in the implementation plan - Strategies that might minimize normal reactions
to changes were only used to a small extent
12Conclusion
- Based on experience we hope that this stepwise
implementation of the PHP-approach will generate
ambassadors supporting gradual dissemination of
the approach throughout the hospital - Retrospectively we have realized that
unconventional initiatives are typically met with
strong resistance, that we have to learn to
handle in the future
