Applied Psychology Classes
Classes taught by counselors
APSY 140 EDUCATIONAL AND VOCATIONAL PLANNING (3
Units) Designed to assist students to clarify
career and educational goals, and to develop an
academic plan to reach those goals. Includes
orientation to college.
APSY 160 CAREER AND VOCATIONAL EXPLORATION (3
Units) Focuses on the process of vocational
choice through study of occupational trends and
specific occupations. Students work with
information about themselves obtained from
standardized tests and selected occupational
information.
APSY 365 TESTING APTITUDE, PERSONALITY INTEREST
AND VALUES (1 Unit) Employs a variety of
instruments to assess students' interests,
aptitudes, values and personality. Students apply
results to career choice, an academic major,
and/or personal growth.
WS 120 WOMEN AND CAREERS (3 Units) Offers women
the opportunity to reassess career aspirations,
to explore the current job market, and to become
acquainted with successful job-hunting and
career-planning techniques. Note Additional fee
required for test packets.
