The Partnership
  • Exists due to an Executive Order of Governors
  • Includes Federal State agencies, private
    sector, not-for-profit and faith-based agencies
  • Meets through all phases of disaster
  • Is mainly strategic, administrative, logistical
    and policy-shaping in its work

MoVOAD
  • Exists based on guidance from the National VOAD
  • Is more operational in its work than the
    Partnership
  • Operations are actually carried out by member
    organizations, not by VOAD itself
  • Has a seat on the Partnership
  • Is the one organization that all NFPs can join
  • Provides the credentials for work with state
    consortium access to disaster area

MIDRO
  • Members are faith-based organizations
  • Dates back to the 1993 floods
  • Serves as a funder of last resort for households
    affected by disaster
  • Also may assist with donated goods and volunteer
    labor
  • Streamlines process of getting , goods, labor
    into the community by meeting as a collaborative
    group
  • Has a seat on the Partnership and MoVOAD
