Redevelopment Program Purpose

• To provide assistance for complex and costly
  redevelopment projects
• To encourage redevelopment of abandoned or
  underused sites for revitalization
• To provide incentive to redevelop land as opposed
  to sprawl.

• Investigate sites and Develop a Response Action
  Plan (RAP)
• Clean Contaminated Sites
• Reduce Threat to Public Health and the
  Environment
• Create Developable Land and Revitalize
  Communities
• Improve Local Tax Base and Create Jobs

Match Requirement

• Minimum 50 for Redevelopment
• Minimum 25 for Contamination
• Match can come from any non-DEED source available
  to the applicant TIF is a good example
• Both Programs can be used on same Project.

• BDPI Provides financial assistance to Cities
  outside of Hennepin, Ramsey, Dakota, Anoka,
  Washington, Scott, and Carver County
• Application Process Pipeline BDIA
• GO Bonds is the Funding source

• To stimulate new economic development within a

• To keep or enhance jobs by investing in a cities
  public infrastructure needs
• To increase a citys tax base.
