What is the ND Habitat Campus Chapter?

• Mission To involve students and help Habitat for
  Humanity provide simple, decent places to live.
• Partner of the local St. Joseph Habitat affiliate
• Two main components
• Awareness of the need and Habitats work
• Building homes in partnership with Gods people.

• Completion of our 12th home in 12 years!
• Wonderful partner family, Alma and her 4 kids
  Mario, Ernesto, Elizabeth, and Maria
• Highly successful fundraising efforts this year
• Hundreds of students sharing in the ministry
• Including both fall and spring breaks

Education and Outreach

• Shack City tonight!
• 3rd year for the event
• Over 200 participants already registered,
  expecting walk-ups
• More than a fundraiser
• Promotes Awareness of the need
• Speakers (Millard Fuller, and Adam Kronk from the
  Center for the Homeless)
• Briars in the Cotton Patch movie
• High School visits under planning future
  partnerships?

Innovative Opportunity

• Special partnership with Puebla, Mexico
• Build an on-going relationship with this new
  Habitat affiliate
• Yearly build trips there over winter break
• Yearly tithe (10) of our funds raised
• Involve more groups!
• Partner with dorms, departments on campus to
  sponsor a house (only 5,000 - 7,000 each)
• Greatly expand the work of our chapter!
• From one house, to 2-4 yearly!!
• Improve ties with our local St. Joe affiliate
• We would both be tithing and going together

• Cuts in concession stands as well
• Affordable housing grant again this year
• Future hoping to use the Revolving Fund for
  Humanity instead
• Re-invests past donations
• Buffers against rising cost of housing

• Designate your 50 football ticket lottery
