Trash Pickup Changes
  • Allied will be aggressive in trash pickup
  • Allied will provide photographic documentation of
    violations
  • Information will be provided to the Solid Waste
    Office
  • These changes are administrative in nature
  • More consumer education at schools and community
    centers such as PAL/Olivet's, and City recreation
    centers
  • More information about tire recycling centers
  • More assistance for handicapped citizens
  • More aggressive community outreach and assistance

Enforcement Changes
  • Move away from judicial process
  • Document violation
  • Direct the Citys hauler to address the violation
  • Determine costs
  • Bill the property owner
  • All residents must notify City of their hauler or
    default to the City hauler
  • These changes are legislative in nature and
    require amendments to the Solid Waste ordinance

  • Includes parks, abandoned lots, and alleys
  • Resources from Codes, DPW, and Solid Waste for
    cleanups
  • Targeted surveillance
  • Cameras offer long-term help

  • Work closely with RSD to develop a litter
    education program and projects for the students
    (likely in collaboration with Allied Waste)

    to make the Solid waste Office more visible in
