2Purpose
- to analyse long-term corneal thickness response
to overnight ortho-k remodeling during 1 year
follow-up.

3Methods
- Study Design
- Prospective
- - Clinical Parameters
- 34 eyes ( 16 patients ) mean age
36.65.5years old - Baseline refractive error -2.380.71 D (
range -3.63D to -1.00D ) - Ortho-k BE lens design Be Free

mmHg) (ISO/Fatt) Baush Lomb, Rochester, NY.
- Ultrassonic pachymetry and Optical Pachymetry
(ORBSCAN) - - Measurements
- Baseline , 1, 8, 30, 90, 180 and 365 nights

6Conclusion
- Optical Pachymetry
- NASAL We found significant statistical
difference of the mean nasal thickness between
1,8,30,90, 180 and 365 nights post-ortho-k
(plt0.001). The mean thickness at night 365 was
bigger than the others nights. We also found
significant difference of the mean change from
baseline of nasal thickness between all nights
evaluated (plt0.001). - CENTRAL Significant statistical difference of
the mean central cornea thickness measured
between nights post-ortho-k (p0.003) The mean
thickness at night 8 was bigger than at night 30.
The change from baseline of central thickness
showed statistical difference between nights
(p0.011). - TEMPORAL We found significant difference of the
mean temporal thickness between nights evaluated
(p0.0026). The mean thickness at night 90 and
365 were bigger than at baseline, however, the
change from baseline of temporal thickness did
not show difference between 1,8,30,90,180 and 365
nights post-ortho-k (p0.069). -
7Conclusion
- Ultrassonic Pachymetry
- NASAL We observed increase in nasal thickness
from 565 (baseline) to 586 (night 365), however
this difference was not statistical significant.
We did not found difference of the change from
baseline of nasal thickness between nights
post-ortho-k (p0.771). - CENTRAL We found significant statistical
difference of the mean central cornea thickness
measured between nights post-ortho-k (plt0.001).
The mean thickness the folowing nights
post-ortho-k were lower than at baseline, but the
change from baseline of central thickness did not
show statistical difference between nights
(p0.011). - TEMPORAL We observed increse of temporal
thickness post-ortho-k,however this difference
was not signifficant (p0.496) and the change
from baseline was not different (p0.803). -
