Why Youth Participation?

• Children and young people are experts
• Worry about participation of young people because
  of low voting rate (voting rate of 18-24 years
  old 38 in 2004)
• Young people are far from politics, they are not
  interested about it
• Politicians think participation of children and
  young people is important
• Appreciation respect every child and youngster
  as a person
• Democracy of citizens Youth participation is
  part of it
• Society is for everyone its common!

  opinions and points of view

Vision of Our Child and Youth Policy
Tampere is a city for children and young people,
where childhood and adolescence are recognized
and appreciated as being significant phases in a
persons life. Rights of children and young
people are to have access to versatile, high
quality services, to participate and to have a
say as well as their rights to access to every
form of wellbeing and protection.
