Success in Biology
  • Be prepared for class on a daily basis

    Department does not accept late work.

    time that they are given!
  • See your teacher for extra help when needed
  • Make up all missed work -- it is the STUDENTS
    responsibility to make arrangements with teacher
  • Check the teachers webpage daily

Environmental Club
  • The environmental club is open to any student,
    year-round.
  • The club is responsible for recycling paper, cell
    phones, and ink cartridges for the school. The
    students also participate in community service
    activities such as storm drain stenciling, Great
    American Cleanup, and roadside trash collection.
  • The club is a partner with Fernbank Museum
    collecting biological diversity data for their
    UrbanWatch program.

Science Olympiad
  • The MCHS Science Olympiad Team is composed of
    students of all ability and interest levels that
    have 2 things in common an interest in science
    and the ability to work with others. The goals
    of Science Olympiad are
  • 1. To bring science to life, to show how science
    works, to emphasize problem solving aspects of
    science and the understanding of science
    concepts.
  • 2. To develop teamwork and cooperative learning
    strategies among students.
  • 3. To make science education more exciting
    through application
  • 4. To promote high levels of achievement and a
    commitment to excellence, to demonstrate that
    American students can perform at levels that
    surpasses expectations of even practicing
    scientists and engineers.
