• 1980s The need is recognized
• LBS Standard developed in Germany
• ASAE Investigating CAN Standards in the USA
• 1990s Standardization begins
• ISO TC23 / SC19 Ag Electronics formed
• LAV in Germany presented DIN 9684 (LBS)
• Con Ag Multiplexing Task Force in US, promoted
  J1939
• February 1991, WG1 was formed and began to work
  on the new communications protocol ISO-11783

  Implementation Group ISOBUS (IGI)
