Introduction
  • South Pole Race is a race to the Geographic South
    Pole in Antarctica, across the worlds largest
    ice cap
  • Teams of 3 race on cross country skis pulling
    pulks containing all of their equipment, food and
    fuel over 370nm
  • This one off event will be the first Race to the
    South Pole since Scott and Amundsens historic
    race nearly 100 years ago
  • It is the most extreme endurance race in the
    world
  • Team X intend intend to win this phenomenal event

Expert Organisation
  • Tony Martin Operations Director
  • A Former Royal Engineer, Army Commando, bomb
    disposal expert, Tony is an experienced Arctic
    survival trainer. He has 12 years of commercial
    experience organizing events and logistics for
    some of the Worlds largest Companies. Tony is no
    stranger to extreme conditions having taken part
    in expeditions in the Sahara, Outer Mongolia,
    lived with pygmies in the Aturi Rain Forests in
    the Congo Basin and many other expeditions to the
    Worlds remotest locations.

Race Route
  • 370 nautical miles across the Filchner Ice Shelf
    to the Geographic South Pole
  • Teams pass through 2 checkpoints on route here
    they resupply with food and fuel, and rest for a
    mandatory 24 hours

Schedule of Events
  • South Pole Race entry is inclusive of flights,
    accommodation, meals, equipment, insurance and
    training, including the following events
  • July 2007 Training Event 1 Team Building -
    Banbury high ropes course
  • January 2008 Training Event 2 1 week of
    training in Finse, Norway, where Scott trained
    for his South Pole Race
  • September 2008 Training Event 3 (UK based)
  • The South Pole Race (including 10 days initial
    training)
  • November 2008 January 2009
  • Awards Party TBA
  • In addition we will be completing our own team
    events
