MAGIC Managing Assignments, Goals,
Information, and Communication
  • Each student will have a 3-ring binder in which
    they will keep their planner, homework, teacher
    notes, daily mail, and parent notes.
  • Students are responsible for having your MAGIC
    planner signed nightly so parents can look over
    mail, monitor your reading log, and
    check homework.

St. Augustine Field TripWednesday, November 11
  • We will be touring the Old School House, the
    Spanish
  • Quarter, the Fort and taking the train tour.

  • Some reminders
  • Students should dress comfortably and wear
    walking shoes. Shorts with pockets are
    recommended.
  • Students should bring a lunch in a disposable
    gallon Ziploc bag.
  • Souvenir money is the responsibility of the
    student and limited to 15.00.
  • Students should be on their best behavior to
    represent Windy Ridge Elementary with pride.
  • The chartered buses will leave school at 730 am
    and will return to school at 600 pm.

Reading Log
  • Students are required to read for a minimum of 20
    minutes per night.
  • Students need to complete the daily reading
    response questions based on their chapter book.
  • Please review your childs responses to ensure
    they have answered the appropriate questions.

MONTHLY GENRE BOOK REPORT
  • Different genre each month
  • Due at the end of each month
  • Counts towards your reading grade
  • Must be hand-written
  • Most are presented orally (practice at home
    beforehand)
