Did you know..

• Every drug that you take hurts a different part
  of your body
• Sometimes drugs can hurt more than one part of
  the body

Brain

• Inhalants can shrink the brain
• Ecstasy can change levels of chemicals in the
  brain
• Methamphetamines can kill brain cells
• Marijuana wrecks short term memory

Bones and Skin

• Drug use can cause breakouts of acne on the skin

• Inhalants damage bone marrow
• Steroids stunt bone growth

Lungs

• Smoking causes sticky tar to build up inside
  lungs
• Inhalants poison and kill lung cells

Heart

• Cocaine and metamphetamine users can have a heart
  attack
• Inhalants disrupt the normal rhythm of the heart
• Steroid use or cigarettes can cause blood clots
  which turn into a heart attack or stroke

Nose and Mouth

• Cigarette smoking stains teeth
• Ecstasy use causes teeth clenching
• Drug users typically have bad breath and
  cotton-mouth
• Cocaine use can cause abseses of the nose and
  mouth
• Smokeless tobacco can cause oral cancer

Kidneys and Liver

• Alcohol can lead to ulcers and liver problems
• Steriod use can cause blood-filled cysts in the
  liver
• Ecstasy use can fry the liver with hot body
  temperatures
