Reorganization
  • Due to new commitments, Jim Lansford has stepped
    down as TAG chairman.
  • At the November 2003 Plenary Meeting Steve
    Shellhammer was appointed acting chairman.
  • TAG officer elections will be held at the March
    Plenary, with confirmation of chairman position
    by the Executive Committee.

TAG Charter
  • Develop a proposal for modification of the LMSC
    Policies and Procedures for the steps wireless
    working groups shall follow to ensure
    coexistence, when developing a new wireless
    standard.

TAG Charter
  • Develop an IEEE Guideline describing a
    methodology for predicting the effects of mutual
    interference between wireless networks. This
    document would explain the technical steps needed
    to make such a prediction.

TAG Charter
  • Offer its technical opinion on an interference
    analysis, produced within one of the working
    groups, of a draft standard, at the request of
    either the executive committee or any of the
    wireless working groups.

January Meeting Plans
  • Discuss recommended changes to the LMSC Policies
    and Procedures that address coexistence.
  • Review draft PAR and 5C for the Methodology for
    predicting the effects of wireless interference.
  • Discuss plans for the March meeting.

    participate in the coexistence TAG!
