  • The story mentions that "theres also a lot of

    put in the fund might get secretly stolen by
    government officials".
  • (i) If the government officials are honest, what
    can this fund do for the people of the Maldives?
  • (ii) If the fund money is stolen, how would the
    citizens feel?

  • Tim Kretschmers father legally bought at least
    15 guns, all with proper licences. He kept 14
    guns locked in a safe and 1 gun by his bed.
  • (i) Was the father being dishonest by keeping
    one gun by his bed? Explain.
  • (ii) What act of dishonesty did Tim do to get
    that gun? What happened next?

  • In 2003, when Siti Mastura Alwi lost her office
    job, she worked hard to sell kueh. She is now the
    boss of her own bakery and cooking school, called

  • (ii) Can you imagine what a less honest person
    might do when she loses her job suddenly?
