  especially for pilgrims on their way to celebrate
  the feast of Passover in Jerusalem
• Bartimaeus knows and has faith that Jesus can
  help him.
• Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me.

• The crowd rebukes Bartimaeus
• Bartimaeus throws his cloak aside, throwing off
  his wealth and posessions jumps to his feet and
  comes to Jesus.

• Rabbi, I want to see.
• Go your faith has healed you.

• The Effect of the Kingdom
• For the Kingdom to be at hand, or within
  reach we must see the goodness of Gods creation
  being restored.
• God wants you and I to be wholly restored
• We seek to be made physically whole, spiritually
  whole.

• Faith
• Its is the same power that healed Bartimeus and
  it is the same power which can bring healing to
  you and I this morning.
•  
• The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because He has
  anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He
  has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
  and recovery of sight for the blind, to release
  the oppressed to proclaim the year of the Lords
  favour. Luke 418,19

• Overcoming Obstacles
• Faith overcomes obstacles.
• A blind man is more important to Jesus than the
  crowd appeal.
• Where will we and do we see the Kingdom of God
  bursting through?

• Forgiveness
• For inner healing and wholeness to take place we
  must forgive and be forgiven.

• From Brokeness to wholeness
• Our past hurt, past experience and past teaching
  has resulted in emotional damage, irrational
  beliefs, sin and wrong choices.
• The present consequences of these past
  experiences can produce all sorts of feelings
  guilt, anger, confusion, insecurity, self doubt,
  fear.

• The presence of Jesus is where we can have our
  needs met, where the Kingdom is close at hand and
  where we can find both inner and outer healing,
  forgiveness and wholeness.
• Jesus has ransomed us from our futile ways
  inherited by our forefathers. On the cross Jesus
  died as a ransom for our sins.

• For healing and wholeness to come there must be
  forgiveness and the church, that is the inner
  body of Christ needs to love one another as
  Christ has loved us
