Control Issues
  • The very high switching frequencies used in this
    system will pose new challenges for the power
    control elements. Higher bandwidth will be
    required for every component in the system,
    including, sensors, Control Algorithm and PWM
    unit.
  • The sliding mode control was selected as control
    algorithm because it does not require a dedicated
    PWM unit, the output of the algorithm is directly
    the switching command, and theoretically it is
    not limited in bandwidth.
