Role of Link Tutor

• 2 visits overall
• Initial telephone call
• 1 observation (weeks 1-5)
• Final assessment visit (weeks 5-6)

Purposes of visits

• Visit 1
• Undertake a joint observation
• Review students progress with class teacher
  /professional tutor
• Review set appropriate targets
• Ensure that assessment procedures for all weeks
  are clear to all parties (check observation
  schedule is clear)
• Visit 2
• Assess student with class teacher /Professional
  Tutor
• Complete the Profile of Professional development
• Undertake evaluation interview with class
  teacher/mentor

Role of Class Teacher
