Early Life

• Born in 1892 in Texas.
• She was born into a family of slaves.
• She liked to read.
• She went to college.
• Went to France to get her pilots license because
  she couldnt get it in the U.S.

Up, Up and Away

• She flew in air shows.
• There was Discrimination and black women could
  not do much so she went to France to become a
  pilot.
• She was the first African American to become a
  pilot.

• She fulfilled her dream to become a pilot.
• On April 31,1926 Bessies plane crashed and she
  died.
• She is remembered today for her braveness.
