  • Colonists threw snowballs at British soldiers.
  • Soldiers started shooting.
  • 11 colonists hit, 5 killed.

  • Reaction to the Tea Act (granted monopoly to East
    India Tea Company)
  • 50 colonists dressed as indians threw 90,000
    pounds of tea into the harbor
