  the appealing nature and appalling wastefulness
  of sin. It is a momentary riot, which inexorably
  leads to ruin.
• Let us also recognize that restoration is
  predicated upon repentance. In other words, to
  enjoy Gods renewed favor, we must have a change
  of heart followed by a change of life.

• If we have wandered from the faith and wasted our
  substance with riotous living, let us come to our
  senses and humbly return to the Father.
• Avoiding the self-pitying and self-serving
  disposition of the older brother, may we adopt
  the tender and tempered mindset of the Father.
