Personal Impression
I enjoyed this book. I wish the index would
allow searching by the name of the person whose
quote is included, but that would make a large
index even larger. The time-frame parameter
(Modern) gives it a unique place, as there
are many other quotation reference books
available which attempt to cover a far greater
period. The Dictionary includes quotations
in languages other than English (followed by
English renderings) and this would make it useful
to try to track down an elusive foreign-language
citation.
