Note The SAT Phone booking module will only
display JSATFAs gt stage 1 and lt stage 5, where a
SAT phone has been requested in section 14 of the
JSATFA. For further help see page 81 of the ATSYS
user guide.

Requesting a SAT Phone

• For each piece of equipment within Section 14,
  click the relevant radial button to indicate
  whether you are using the equipment or not.
• Click save.
• Go the ATG(A) website, select Forms
  http//www.army.mod.uk/atg/_forms/index.htm
• Scroll down to Other Forms and Open the
  SATPHONE LOAN Iridum Phone form or NERA
  Worldphone.
• Complete in full and send to your desk officer.

• Fields prefixed with a are mandatory and must
  be completed.

• NOTES
• The telephone number is programmed into the
  phone. NERA run a 24 hr help line on 01737
  648864 for any other problems.
• IMPORTANT. For brand new batteries to achieve
  maximum performance form the start, the battery
  must be charged for 12 hours the first time.
  Then repeat the discharge/charge cycle 3 times.
  The discharging is completed by using the
  telephone until it shuts down the charging must
  not be interrupted before the battery is fully
  charged.
• MAINTENANCE. To maintain the battery for the
  maximum performance, the battery has to be
  trained one or two times with the
  discharge/charge cycle once every 90th day.
