Project Objective
Create a program that...

• Monitors the memory usage of AutoPlex software in
  the AP system.
• Upon finding any possible problems with the
  growth of memory usage, report the problem in an
  error log.

Why is this tool needed?

• Maintain cognizance and stability of Application
  Processors at field sites.
• Help diagnose and prevent such occasions which
  have occurred in the field where memory leaks
  have caused outages.

• Designed to work with Application Processors in
  the field.

• Monitors the growth of the real and virtual data
  pages.

An example of the programs use

• This sample program mallocs memory from the
  system.

• As this program runs, the memory monitor tool
  tracks it in the background.
• Memory usage growth of 10 or more alerts the
  monitor tool.

The monitor tool displays its results to the
standard AutoPlex logging mechanism.

Project Status

• The tool has been completed and is currently
  being tested and undergoing minor changes before
  implementation.
• The tool will be included in Lucents Flexent AP
  package that is sent to field sites.
