WASHINGTON AVENUE APARTMENTS1133 Washington
Ave.St. Louis, MO 63101
  • Project Information
  • Conversion of the old Downtown Days
  • Inn (originally The St. Louisian Hotel) into
  • an apartment building with first floor
  • commercial lease space now home to
  • B T Pizza and soon to open 12th Street
  • Diner (another KWA Project). Project
  • totals 96,302 square feet. The building
  • once stood as an injection of MidCentury
  • Modern into the otherwise pre-War
  • stylings of the Avenue. The
  • checkerboard of color on its original
  • opaque façade was long-gone, leaving
  • Its architecture appearing rather tepid. It
  • was not aging well by the time the last
  • occupant closed its doors circa 2000. In
  • 2007, it was renovated with a tasteful
  • update of its MidCentury look now
