The War and the consequences in the Middle East
October 10, 2006 ( 630pm -800pm ) Phi Theta
Kappa held a satellite seminar 2 which broadcast
a live interview with Dan Senor the former Chief
Spokesperson for the U.S.-led Coalition in Iraq
and Senior Advisor to Presidential Envoy L. Paul
Bremer III, the Administrator of the Coalition
Provisional Authority. Senor's expertise on
international policy issues concerning Iraq,
Iran, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, and the
tension between Russia and the Ukraine, make him
uniquely qualified to speak about America's
position in the international community. He is a
strong supporter of George Bush Administration's
decisions and in favor of the war against
terrorism. After the broadcast, the audience was
invited to ask questions to a panel formed by
Mary Odima (Arbitrator), Dr. Christopher Huggard,
Patrick Kelley, and Robert J. Tucker. They are
NWACC faculty and staff who have followed the
issues of War of Iraq and Terrorism very closely.
The audience was encouraged to express their
opinion and to listen to other's opinion about
the war as well. In an interview with Robert J.
Tucker, he addressed that "America's position is
to contribute to stop terrorism and promote
democracy in other countries". Members of Phi
Theta Kappa host several seminars throughout the
semester to bring people to share issues that
