- History of electricity
- Safety and electricity
- Do an electricity Webquest
- Co-teach with science teacher
- Learn about series and parallel circuits
3Module EnhancementsEngineering Design
- Students create a generator
- During the design projects students would have to
pick which types of generators (look at
pros/cons/costs)
4Module EnhancementsScientific Inquiry
- Students question and investigate pros and cons
of different power sources - Expand on electricity in general and types of
electricity
5Module Enhancements Ethics
- Teamwork
- Different types of generators and affects on our
environment - Conservation of Energy Survey
6Modification for grades K-4
- KWL Chart
- Word Wall Vocabulary volt, electricity, line
load - Instead of equations use inequalities
- Modify truck activity so students will portray
trucks and hubs, then transfer the concept to any
form of electricity - Safety in using electricity
- Design safety posters
7Modifications for grades 5-8
- Discuss the 3 Bus system without using equations
