Challenges for building and construction industry
vis-à-vis the quality of the labour force

• Need for the development of a labour force better
  qualified, more flexible, and more competitive
• Migrant fluxes of the labour force to and from
  Romania
• Need for eliminating the deficit of the labour
  force for some certain occupations
• Fight against aging by attracting young and
  qualified labour force

• Increasing the level of qualification of the
  labour force in building and construction sector,
  as well as for related fields

Objectives

• implementation of sector related NQF (national
  qualification framework)
• quality assurance of VET for construction
  industry
• co-operation with national, regional and local
  organisations responsible for VET and CVT
• administration of vocational qualification
  framework for building and construction sector
• development of partnerships with similar
  european and international organisations

Objectives of the Sectoral Committee for
Vocational Education and Training

• More and better focused investments for VET and
  CVT
• Increased volume of vocational education and
  training activities, in terms of offer and of
  participation of individual employees
• Improved access for individuals to initial and
  continuing vocationl training for building and
  construction sector
