Setting

• The time was the fourteenth century.
• The play took place in Verona and Mantua in
  Northern Italy.

Plot

• The play is about two young people from two
  separate families. The girl is Juliet and the
  guy is Romeo. They are not suppose to talk or
  associate with each other. They fall in love and
  want to get married.

Conflict

• The main conflict is the families. There has
  always been a feud between them. Romeo and
  Juliet cant see each other because of the
  conflicts between the families. Both of them are
  rich and come from high class families.

Irony

• An example of irony is at the end of the play.
  Romeo and Juliet were not expected to die. We
  never thought the main characters would die like
  they did. We figured that they would live
  happily ever after.
