- Target group Coaches of recreation and house
league teams - Sports Those with youth and community
recreation leagues (eg. Ringette, currently in
pilot phase) - Education prerequisites open
- Training 10 hour sport-specific course (CAC
template) - Assessment Guidelines to be approved by
November 2002 (NCCC)

beginning their competitive careers/training on a
seasonal basis for local and regional

- Target group Coaches whose athletes compete at
the provincial or national level, training nine
to twelve months per year. - Prerequisite Certified Introduction to
Competition or equivalent experience or physical
education degree - Training Generic and sport-specific training to
be operational by April 2005 - Assessment Guidelines to be approved by April
2004 (NCCC)

- Target group Coaches whose athletes train year
round, aiming to compete internationally. - Prerequisites Certified, competition
development - Training Assessment NCI sport-specific
