Aims
Support new Sea Scout groups with starting.
Help existing groups with acquisition of new
boats by providing interest free loans
Support experiments with new boat types.
Help is prioritise after the following criteria
Patrol boats, Leader boats followed by Project
boats.

1 MONEY
Each year there is 125,000 dkr. (15,500 euro)
available, from the Association, that can be
loaned by groups. Funds are allocated on a first
come basis.
There are some conditions attached

Maximum is 35,000 dkr per group.
Maximum 2/3 of the price. i.e. if a group buys a
boat for 30,000 they can only loan up to 20,000.
The loan has to be repaid over 5 years.
If the boat is sold, stolen or totally wrecked
then the balance is due immediately.

Boat Bank
2 BOATS
The bank also administers a fleet of boats, that
groups can hire, and the form for building
Svendborgjoller. This part of the bank is
capitalized with 251,000 dkr. (31,000 euro)
Boats can be hired for up to 3 years. The cost of
hiring is 10 of the insured value of the boat.
Each group is responsible for insuring (via
korps) and maintaining the boat while it is in
their care.
The group has the option of buying the boat in
which case the hire fee is deducted from the
purchase prise.

Boat Bank
At present the bank only physical asset is the
Svendborg form as all the other boats have been
sold. It is here that our new patrol boat forms
and prototype will be owned.
