  • PURPOSE To provide a realistic test of the
    ability of county and municipal agencies to
    coordinate preparations for a direct hit on the
    Tampa Bay Area by a strong category 5 hurricane
    and then to coordinate initial response
    operations in the aftermath of the massive storm
  • SCOPE This Exercise will entail a full-scale
    activation of the Emergency Operations Center
    (EOC). The exercise will involve county,
    municipal and volunteer agencies responsible for
    the conduct of initial response operations in
    response to a direct hit by a category 5
    hurricane.
