Landmap Project

• The Landmap Project was a joint project between
  MIMAS and UCL Geomatics Department, funded by
  JISC
• The products created from the project are
  provided via the Landmap website
  www.landmap.ac.uk Data includes a set of
  orthorectified satellite images from four
  satellites Landsat5, Landsat7, SPOT and ERS for
  whole of UK coverage.
• Data cover the UK from 19882001, and can be used
  as stand alone, in image processing software, or
  graphics software, or in association with users
  data or other mapping data such as Ordnance
  Survey data.
• A Digital Elevation Model of the whole of the
  British Isles at 25m resolution is also available
  derived from SAR interferometry

Geodata Interoperability Project

• Create OGC compliant WMS WCS for the Landmap
  products and new Envisat ASAR products
• MapServer and ER Mappers Image Web Server
• The SIDS WMS were used to interoperate with WMS
  from ICEDS, EDINA and DEMIS
• Web clients have been trailed such as RightWebMap
  and Chameleon 2.0
• Presently a new download interface is being
  developed for the service

• As part of the interoperability project GetMap
• requests have been produced for
• - Orthospot mosaic,
• - Landsat 7 15m 25m mosaics,
• - Landsat 5 mosaics,
• - Ortholandsat 5 and 7 stretched

• 25m resolution in tiff format and
• at 25m resolution in ecw format.

Envisat Project

• ASAR imagery, British Isles coverage, GB National
  Grid and Irish Grid Coordinates.
• Provided in WMS and WCS format for
• Image Mode (IS2 Swath),
• Alternating Polarisation,
• Wide Swath
• Future Work
• Provide data at different times of the year
  seasonality
• Create Colour Composite Multi Images using
  SARScape and ENVI for ASAR imagery and ERS 12
  data.
• Provide on-line learning support materials for
  ASAR data
