STEPS TAKEN BY PAMA
  • PAMA welcomes IUCN and its partners initiative
    for organizing this WORKSHOP in Karachi
  • Our member companies have taken several steps for
    improving vehicular emission which includes
  • Production of CNG vehicles in economy segment
  • Introduction of catalytic converters in Toyota
    , Honda and Suzuki Liana cars, starting from
    2005.
  • PAMAs Executive Body established a planning
    coordination sub committee to deal with
    introduction of advanced emission standards.

  • Motorcycles
  • New models will be Euro compliant from
  • July 2008.
  • Gasoline Vehicles
  • New vehicles/models will be Euro-II compliant
    from July 2008.
  • Diesel Vehicles
  • The proposed date to apply Euro-II is Jan.
    2009. to be synchronized with
    availability of low-sulphur diesel

  • Constant consultation closer co-ordination
