• Flicker fusion- the human inability to see the
  black bars between each frame when the frequency
  reaches near 50 times / second
• A standard frame per second is 24 frames/second
  (or 48 bars)
• Fast speed- more than 24 FPS
• Slow motion- less than 24 FPS
• Persistence of vision- the notion of combining
  single images into a moving picture

• 1892- WL Dickson (an assistant to Thomas Edison)
  perfected the film camera
• Edison credited with the first film studio
  (Black Maria), the first film projector
  (Kinetoscope)
• 1894- First film Edisons Kinetoscope record of
  a Sneeze (AKA Fred Otts Sneeze)
