  • These 2 readings can be copied from the 9th
edition of the textbook or downloaded from our
    tutorial website.

  • Each group is responsible for presenting the main
ideas of one of the two readings of one topic,
including your responses to those ideas, no
    matter appreciations or criticisms.
  • Because of time limit, you may focus on some
ideas you find centrally important, while
    ignoring other less important ones.
  • Grouping schedule for presentation
  • There are 5 groups altogether, each is
    responsible for one topic.
  • No. of students of each group depends on the
total no. of students in this class.

  • Choose a group name.
  • Draw for presentation date and topic

9

  • Tips / suggestions
  • Take the Questions for Analysis after each
    reading as reference.
  • Digest the presentation materials so that you
dont need to read them too much.
  • If you use PowerPoint, try not to include too
many words but just key points that guide your
presentation. Also, use other resources like
figures or photos that facilitate your
    presentation.
  • You may prepare copies of your presentation
    materials for the audience.
  • Planning and practice improve things.

Individual or Group Paper
  • Weighting (30)
  • Task
  • Following on the presentation topic, the students
involved are required to choose, individually or
in group, a Case Presentation of that topic from
    the textbook.
  • For students who choose a Case Presentation
individually, he/she needs to write an essay in
    English (800 to 1000 words) by himself/herself.

12
  • You may use those Case Presentations from the
textbooks in the Library (8th but not 9th
edition), except for the topic Computer Ethics.
For this topic, the Case Presentations can be
obtained from the 9th edition of the textbook or
    downloaded from our tutorial website.

13
  • For those who choose in group, they may write
this essay together (and will get the same mark).
  • Note that these groups may be subgroups of the
original presentation group, but not the whole
    original group.
  • There are Questions for Analysis after each
Case Presentation. You should write the essay by
responding to some of these questions.
  • A more in-depth analysis rather than a
superficial one is preferred, so that you
should try to focus on as few questions as
    possible.

14
  • Marking criteria
  • Depth of analysis
  • Clarity of expression
  • Correct application of argumentative skills
  • Quality of content, e.g. significance of points
  • Originality of ideas.
  • Deadline of submission
  • Hardcopy to be submitted in the last tutorial.
  • No late submission is allowed.
  • Further guidelines may be provided in subsequent
    tutorials.
