Health Care Assistants Training Programme
A New 6 day course Starting on the 30th September
2004 The course is to be accredited by and
education establishment

• This new training programme will cover
• The Structure of the primary health care team,
• Confidentiality and consent
• Health Promotion
• Immunisation
• Child protection
• Diabetes and Coronary Heart Disease
• And Understanding Medical terminology
• As well as practical skills such as
• Patient screening, How to take ECGs,
• Spirometry and peak flow readings,
• BP and blood sugar monitoring.
• All applicants will need to have a nurse mentor
  in practice who will also have to attend on the
  morning of the first day
• All 6 days must be attended.

The 6 Days will be held over 6 weeks every
Thursday. 30th Sept, 7th Oct, 14th Oct, 21st Oct,
4th Nov, 11th November. There will be no
training on Oct 28th AT The Pastoral Centre,
London Colney Time 930 4pm
