Your Service LearningField Experience

• 30 hour observation in a public school
• 10 weeks to complete
• 1 day a week for 3 to 4 hours
• Observe, assignments correspond to class
• Cannot count for another class
• Cannot get paid during field component hours

Criminal History Check

• Complete 2 forms page 6 and 7
• Disclose any offense after age 16 and greater
  than a traffic violation
• Use the back of page 6 to explain any
  circumstances
• Any support documents must be turned in by Aug.
  30 at 5 pm
• If out of state offense, must finger print for
  25

• Go to web site

• Starts Friday, Aug 26th at 1201 am
• Ends Tuesday, Aug 30 at 5pm

Orientation at School

• Your responsibility to determine your assigned
  schools location (map quest), teacher workdays,
  early release days, and holidays.
• Goal is to be there when students are there
  during each field experience.
• Work out schedule with teacher and stick to it
• Be on time and stay the entire time
• No placement changes (dont switch with other
  students)
• Do not bring your children
