Steps Needed for Physics

• Partial list of steps needed to get to physics
• quality data
• Commission AFEs
• Include trigger scintillator information/
• basic and/or terms
• Alignment of FPD
• FPD database
• Activate FPD_Reco
• Halo understanding, reduction, and rejection
• FPD info in DSTs and Thumbnails

Pressure to Produce

• Need results to justify use of bandwidth
• Luminosity is going up (along with halo)
• FPD window is limited (quadrupoles out in 2006)
• New orbits at some point may lower acceptance
• Many new CDF results
