Interactive Map Services
  • Interactive Map Services allow you to choose the
    area and data themes that you want to view and
    will allow you to point and click on themes on
    the map to obtain information about it's
    features.
  • There are a total of 14 tools listed in 2
    columns on the upper left hand corner of your
    screen. Only 1 tool can be used at a time. 
  • Select a tool by clicking on its icon. A red box
    appears around the tool showing it has been
    selected.

Toggle Legend/Layer Tool
  • The Toggle Legend/Layer Tool toggles between
    the Legend and the Layer List located on the
    right side of the screen.
  • Layer List
  • Any layer can be checked to make them visible or
    unchecked to hide them. Changes take effect when
    you click on Refresh Map.One single layer can
    be active at one time. Select the layer you want
    to be active. You can use the Identify, Query and
    Find tools on this active layer.
  • Legend
  • Shows all the layers and their corresponding
    symbols.

Toggle Overview Map Tool
  • The Toggle Overview Map Tool shows or hides
    the Overview Map. The Overview map is the inset
    map located on the upper left hand corner. 
  • The current map extent on the main map shows up
    as a red rectangle on this overview map.

Zoom In Tool
  • The Zoom In Tool allows you to zoom in on the
    main map simply by clicking on any location.
  • You can also drag and draw a rectangle with your
    mouse to define the zoom area.
  • More layers appear showing more details as you
    progressively zoom in.

Zoom Out Tool
  • The Zoom Out Tool allows you to zoom out from
    the current map view. It has the opposite effect
    of zooming in.

Zoom to Full Extent Tool
  • The Zoom to Full Extent Tool lets you zoom to
    the entire state of Arizona.

Zoom to Active Layer Tool
  • The Zoom to Active Layer Tool allows you to
    zoom to the extents of the current active layer
    you have chosen.

Zoom Last Tool
  • The Zoom Last Tool lets you quickly zoom to
    the last extent that was set. This acts like an
    undo button to go back to the previous view.

Pan Tool
  • The Pan Tool lets you click and drag the map
    in any direction.

Identify Tool
  • The Identify Tool lets you view the attributes
    of any selected layer.

Query Builder Tool
  • The Query Builder Tool lets you perform
    attribute queries on the selected layer.

Measure Tool
  • The Measure Tool lets you find the distance,
    in miles, between points you specify with mouse
    clicks.
  • You can keep on adding line segments and add to
    the running total.
  • Click the Clear Selection tool to reset the
    counters.

Clear Selection Tool
  • Use the Clear Selection Tool to clear all your
    selections and highlighted features on the map.
    This also resets the counters used in the Measure
    tool.

Print Tool
  • The Print Tool is used to make a hard copy of
    the current map view.

Visible Layers
  • To make a layer visible, select the box next to
    the layer you want to see.
  • To hide a layer, deselect the box next to the
    layer you do not want to see.
  • After you have selected or deselected the box,
    press the Refresh Map button at the bottom of the
    layers column.

Active Layers
  • To make a specific layer active, select the
    circle next to the layer you are are inquiring
    about.
  • Once you have selected your active layer, press
    the Refresh Map button at the bottom of the layer
    column.
