Project Goals
  • Ultimate goal of project
  • Provide ample and reliable voice data comms
    with and between public safety mobile units,
    statewide.
  • Relationship to other projects
  • Doesnt include point-to-point communication.
  • Depends on continuing WYDOT microwave backbone
    upgrade, especially to reach mountain sites.
  • Essential results timing goals
  • Ease spectrum congestion frustrations.
  • Establish architecture for interoperable
    statewide public safety comms, as various
    agencies need to recapitalize their old systems.
  • Meet emerging needs for more capable voice data
    comms, security and increased interoperability
    reap benefit of improved technology.

Statewide PSMC Plan RFP
